Visión Rock

PEARL JAM es una banda de Grunge, Hard Rock & Rock alternativo, originaria de Seattle, Washington, Estados Unidos, formada en 1990.

Con la denominada exploción musical de Seattle a principios de la década de los 90′s, surgió esta singular propuesta musical, considerada como una de las pioneras del género Grunge. PEARL JAM surgió a partir de la desintegración de los proyectos: GREEN RIVER y MOTHER LOVE BONE.

Las estrellas se fueron alineando de tal forma para esculpir aquella nueva agrupación:

• El proyecto TEMPLE of the DOG (del cual era vocalista Eddie Vedder, junto a integrantes de SOUNDGARDEN) le rindieron tributo al fallecido cantante del grupo MOTHER LOVE BONE: Andrew Wood….
• Posteriormente, Jeff Ament y Stone Gossard (ambos ex MOTHER LOVE BONE)  junto a Mike McCready se entrevistan con Vedder, y poco tiempo después, fundaron: PEARL JAM…

Desde su álbum debut: “Ten” adquieren prestigio internacional, conocidos como la banda del “Jam eterno” influenciada por el Blues y el estilo de Neil Young. De este disco surgieron los himnos: “Evenflow”, “Alive”, y la trágica “Jeremy”.

A lo largo de veinte años de trayectoria, PEARL JAM ha tenido roces con la industria discográfica (se han negado a realizar videos promocionales) y conflictos internos entre sus integrantes, etc. A pesar de este panorama, son considerados como íconos y referentes para diferentes generaciones… su carrera sigue “viento en popa”, continúan vendiendo sus producciones y llenando conciertos, por todo el mundo…

Bootlegs oficiales:

 

PEARL JAM ha lanzado una serie de Bootlegs oficiales con las grabaciones de una serie de innumerables presentaciones en directo,  de sus giras desde el año 2000, a excepción de la gira del 2004: “Vote for Change” y de la expedición europea del 2007.

Las pimeras presentaciones de los bootlegs, consistieron en CD (sencillos, dobles y hasta triples). En el 2005, cambiaron al formato de MP3. Posteriormente, en el 2006, se  utilizó el formato FLAC, y desde el 2008, se pueden adquirir en formato: FLAC, MP3, y CD.

Las canciones se fueron puliendo en los ensayos del quinteto e improvisaciones (Jam Sessions Intrumentales) a los que el vocalista Eddie Vedder les fue agregando paulatinamente las letras respectivas, las cuales abordaron temas como: la depresión, los abusos del sistema, los desamparados…
